My 95 with V6 was missing and I found I had a fouled plug. I replaced the plugs and wires (it was time) and the truck was running beautifully. I took the truck to work the next day and on my way home the check engine light came on - the code says it's the EGR system. I've checked to see if I knocked loose a vacuum hose while changing the wires/plugs and don't see anything wrong in that sense. What I did notice is that there are two wires that connect to what I think is the EGR VSV, one red/orange and the other green. The green wire is not connected; should it be? I've about exhausted my mechanical abilities, so thought I'd ask here before paying someone $100 to reconnect a wire.
Here are a couple of pics. In the first pic my finger is under what I think is the EGR VSV - either way, that's where the disconnected wire is. The second is a close-up. The disconnected wire is green but looks white.
