Eibach Load Leveling System (aka height adjustable rear)

My question as well. I pull a boat a few times a year. It would be great to be able to make a quick adjustment before towing.

Same here. Be awesome to jack it up off the ground and adjust. I don't tow heavy loads often but would be great as an option. Not really wanting air bags, I read many say the ride is harse
 
If you get the 200lb. Load range, and have a 200lb load in the back, the minimum lift is 1.5" if I'm reading this right (based on the website):

200 lbs/in Loaded Height Ranges

0 lbs 2.0"
100 lbs 1.75"
200 lbs 1.5"

250 lbs/in Loaded Height Ranges

The heights are just an adjustment for the extra weight, not the adjustment range of the coil seat. With 200lb/in springs, every 100lb of extra cargo will drop the springs about 0.25". There's 2 springs, and each spring moves 1 inch for every 200lb, so if you add 400lb, it drops 1 inch. They're just providing the basic math of spring rate vs load. The measurements tell us the max height I believe - but not the minimum height or the range of adjustment. Visually it looks like about 1" or 1.5" of height adjustment. So my guess is that you can go anywhere from 0.5 to 2" height adjustment with the 200lb springs, and then down from there based on additional load.

All of the springs are probably the same unsprung height. That's why the stiffer springs sit higher with the empty 4Runner.

It's very easy. Jack the car up and use the spanner to go up or down. Probably takes less than 5 minutes a side. I've done it multiple times on my own rig.

Sorry long day and can't get this. so 200lb rear adjustable unloaded gives how much lift when all the way down? I see 1.5 and 1.5+0.5.
I'm looking to do 1" rear passenger and 1.5 drivers (for the lean)... is that possible? thanks

That should be no problem. You can adjust either side from 0.5 to 2" of lift (with the vehicle having no extra weight in the back) with the 200lb springs. And any combination in between on either side.

Based on the previous replies, does that mean the 250 lbs/in start at 2.5" max for 200lbs? What about unsprung weight at 0lbs, should we be adding more or is it 2.5" max regardless of weight?
 
Ordered today. This will be paired with an ADS setup and KDSS. This seems like a great solution to KDSS lean? Should go on within a couple days of delivery and will report back. Thx Eibach

Using the 250lb kit Max height with 200lb load is 2.5" of lift. As you add weight to that kit, the max height is reduced, as shown in the post.

Using the 250lb kit with 200lb load, if you lower the perch all the way down you get 1.0" of lift. just take the maximum and subtract 1.5" as that is the amount of usable thread on the adjuster.

Using the 250lb kit If you remove the 200lb load, you get 1.5" of lift at full low or 3.0" at max height.

Why the bump stops? Are they the same height as stock bump stops or are they longer/shorter? I'd rather not have to limit the up travel if I don't have to.
 
Okay, I', interested in this kit for both front and rear, but am confused about what spring rate to get. I have a 2020 4Runner Off Road Prem with the following:
  • RCI Sliders (110 lbs)
  • RCI Aluminum Skids (full set) (75 lbs?)
  • Sherpa Crestsone Full length Aluminum Roof Rack (55 lbs)
  • Will most likely add SSO Stealth bumper with winch. (+90 lbs?)

I'm not looking for a huge lift and want to stick with factory Toyota UCAs, but would like about 1" rear lift and 1.5" front. I want an improved suspension and with less roll, improved stability and better off-road performance.

What is my best option? Thanks!

The springs are used without OEM or OEM style internal bump stops. The internal bumps probably do 90% of the bump stop function. That's why the small frame rail mounted bumps are both small and hard. The bump stops on the GX for example with air springs (air springs used on the GX have no internal bumps) - they are much larger and longer. So my guess is that these are set up as a replacement for the internal bumps.

Eibach front shock and just use the OE spring.
Eibach rear shocks.
Eibach rear springs.

In the other Eibach thread a guy just posted pics of this exact setup.
 
Anyone install these yet have any tips on the adjustments? I'm about to tackle these this weekend and after looking at the hardware there's no hard markings to help indicate .5 - 1.5" on the threads. Is it safe to assume I can just measure that amount and mark it myself? For example, if I am at 2.0" max height, I just adjust the perch 0.5" lower to attain a 1.5" lift?

Anything else I should look out for when doing the install?
 
Well I ended up installing these and the install was pretty simple. I originally had the pro truck kit front and rear with the 1" rear springs. These drooped to about 0.5" after gobi rack, sliders, and my recovery gear in the back. I ordered the 250lbs springs to accomodate my RTT and camping gear when loaded. My pre-spring change measurement was 22.25" from the center hub to fender.

When doing the install, just follow the instructions and be sure you have a thin 19mm open wrench for the top mount nut which was a ***** to get threaded. Also don't be stupid like me and use a ratcheting end with the nut to hold it in place. Once its tightened your wrench wont have clearance to come out, that alone set me back about 20 minutes trying to hold the nut to get the wrench out.

I took the leveling plates and measured to 38mm for max adjustment range which is about 0 - 1.5". Based on Eibach's chart that should net me 2.5" of lift with 200lbs load so I lowered the plate aproximately 13mm to bring me to 26mm. This I calculated should be about 2" of lift instead with 200lbs of load on these springs. I marked the threads with teflon tape so I have a reference if I ever need to lower or raise them in the future.

After install measurements were about 23" give or take an 1/8th which worked out perfectly since the extra height leveled out my KDSS droop. I took a ride with them installed and it definitely absorbed dips on pavement pretty smoothly but firmer than the pro kit springs which let me know I made the right spring choice.

All in all I'm pretty happy with the product, adjustments are easy and all you need to do is jackup, remove wheels and spin away with the rods. Lemme know if anyone has any other questions if they are on the fence on purchasing these springs.
