Eibach stage 1 lift/level tire size question

Hey gang need some advice from those who know more than me, just installed the eibach kit, absolutely love the stance, however I’d like to put on tires that fill the wheel well a little more, currently running stock Duratracs 265/70R17, the one thing is I DO NOT want to do any trimming to liners or bumper on front. I was thinking going to a 275/70R17 or 285/70R17 but not sure which will work the best? Also I don’t want to mess up the speedometer by going too large. Thanks in advance for any advice or help

I have the same kit and upgraded to Falcon Wildpeak 275s and have no issues with rubbing. I thought about 285s but the fear of potentially trimming or chopping kept me from going there. I think the 275s look great on it. I'm also on the stock UPAs for now.

Falken Wildpeaks 265/70 17 (i know OEM size). These tires were slightly larger than the OEM Duellers they replaced.

The driveway slopes towards the front of the car, making it look like it has more rake than it does.

Rubbing has more to do with your wheel offset than your lift. If you rock some super trendy -30 offset wheels, you can rub with 265s. If you are running trd/trail wheels you can run most 285s with no lift. I tossed my 285 pirellis on pro wheels while im waiting for my suspension and its fine. I trimmed the bumper before I installed them but there looks to be plenty of room and it may not have been neccesary. I have plenty of room at the body mount. id probably hit the fender liner above the mud flap if it flexed but hitting speed bumps at full lock still clears.

Fwiw, the bumper trim and liner relocation probably took me 30 min with a dremel and you couldnt tell its not stock. You really just hack off the little corner that turns into the wheel well.

If you really don't want to trim at all, 275/70/17s would be the safest bet. With factory offset wheels, you could likely fit 285s with only removing the mudflaps + high caster. There may be some trimming needed on the front fender. I believe they trim the pros slightly to fit the more aggressive tires with the +7 offset (trail wheels are +15)

I have those springs along with a 3/4" rear cornfed spacer and JBA uppers on the front to correct the caster. And I run 17x8.5 wheels with 0 offset and 285/70/17's. My front mud flaps rub and I have hacked them up a bit and it also hit the body mount so I chopped those too. Still rubs on the flaps but if I remove them it doesn't hit anything. So if you want it to not rub at all I would stick with 265's or maybe 275's on stock wheels. Also my speedo is off like 3mph at 60. I went with P-metric tires and not 10 plys so my mileage really isn't all that affected. I still average 18-19.

Thanks! Looks great! I’m really struggling to make a decision here on the Falken, do you notice any ride difference with the LT tire size? I’m either going with the LT 275 or the P 285......I just don’t want to do ANY body mods other than the Eibach lift

Can the Falken 285/70/17 M/T01s fit 2017 SR5 with Eibach Pro Lift?

I have a 2017 SR5 with 265/70/17 Wildpeaks A/T3 now and getting the Eibach Pro Lift (2.75"/1"). Will the 285/70/17 Wildpeak M/Ts fit? Anyone has a SR5 with the M/T and this lift with pictures and modifications to fit the tires? Thanks guys!

I’m looking at same lift, staying stock size. Just going AT’s. Offset will be 0 with 4.5 inch back space.

Did you have any issues with alignment? Caster specifically? Did you upgrade ucas and staying stock? Or did you ultimately go bigger tires and upgrade?

I’ve read post after post about alignment issues…mainly caster…. but 9 out of 10 times it’s with people running 285/70’s on this 2.75 lift.

I’m curious and have searched and google until my eyes bled: does the tire size have any impact on the ability to dial in caster closer to spec?

Meaning are the issues people are having alignment wise partly due the larger tire size? Or does it not matter at all? (And I know a good alignment shop also has an effect on it).
