Electric locks gone mad

Hey all, couldn't find anything in the archives on this -- maybe I wasn't sarching right. Anyway, the wife's '97 4runner has suddenly started locking the doors while she is driving along. She reports that they also try to re-lock. Very sporadic. Any idea what could be causing this? This morning she reports that they relocked overnight, as she doesn't lock them at night when she gets home (we live in the middle of nowhere).

Thanks in advance!

Check the power lock switch.
A couple months ago I made the mistake of leaving my window cracked while it was raining. The next morning I go out and start the truck, grab my coffee cup and go inside to fill it up and lock up the place. When I went out, I found the doors locked. Luckily I was home, had house keys in hand still and spare inside.
It turned out there was some corrosion inside the plug portion of the switch causing a short circuit. I cleaned it out and all seems fine now.
My only gripe about my runner is the lack of drip rails.
It had those plastic windshades on it when I bought it. They we're the first thing I peeled off cause I did'nt like em; but now I know why they we're there.
Now I just have to remember not to lower the windows for the first few stops when it's raining. ;):
