Electric seat Fuse question.

So my electric seat in my 2002 limited is still haunted (lowering randomly when i turn the car off), so i decided today to pull the fuse. Checked the two fuse boxes in the engine compartment and cant find the one that would kill the seat motor. Tried a few random ones without success, and the one for the heated seats didnt do it.

Anyone have any clue which fuse is the one i need to pull?

Those get power from the 30A 'Power' fuse in the J/B by the driver's left knee. Unfortunately, so does the moonroof. You could unplug the harness under the seat, but you would also lose the seat belt warning and the seat heater. From a quick look at the wiring diagram, I don't see an easy way to do that--unless you can live without the moonroof.

You could try to get to the rear of the control switch and cut the lavender-red and lavender-yellow wires. Then I guarantee that seat will not recline ever again. You could still go forward and back and up and down.

That's a very bizarre ghost. I can't see how he does it. (Has to be in the switch or a short of 12V+ to the lavender-yellow wire to the seat recline motor.)

The Seat will lay flat back about 1/3 of the time i turn off the car, and its as soon as i step out of the seat. The Seat will not go back up with the switch unless i restart the car, and sit in the seat. And then sometimes it will cut out after a few seconds of lifting up. I personally think a short is somewhere or the motor is shot, but i have a feeling that it will cost more then i wanna put in right now.

It sounds like you are sliding off your seat when you are exiting the vehicle and inadvertently pushing the switches on the side of the seat.

I would pop the knobs off the switch instead of cutting power to it or try using the running boards when getting out of the truck.

Could be, but i dont know why the switch would not work then when used again, and why it would roll the seat completely down on a flick. The Switch is not sticking. It normally starts a second or two after i shut the car door.
