OK, so the plastic covering the lower portion (near the door) of the right seat came off, as I was trying to put it back on, electrical smoke started coming out from under the seat.
I reached over and turned on the truck (the wires smoked with no key in ignition) to roll the windows down, then tried to undo the harness where I could see it.
I wasn't able to undo the plug-in connector, and the brown wire is fried, and the insulation running under the seat is melted.
The truck starts fine, but the windows won't roll down, AND it won't shift out of park. I tried to find a wiring diagram, but it looks they've been taken down.
I got a ride back home to feed the kids and get them bed, then I'll head over and see if I can fix it or just get it towed.
Anybody have any quick fixes for defeating the PARK-lock issue?
Then, obviously, any idea what circuit the windows are on? I pulled a few fuses, and they all looked good, but were very general like "accessory" or something.
Thanks in advance!
