For the realm of self disclosure, I will admit I was VERY wrong to do what I am about to describe. Was in a HUGE hurry and was not thinking. VERY VERY boneheaded move on my part... No question! I was in a hurry to get out the door and found that I had a dead battery. Went to jump my 3G 4Runner using wife's Sequoia. Her leads were hooked up correctly and I inadverntly crossed mine leading to 4Runner..... hooking the positive to the negative and negative to the positive. Never felt so stupid in all my life.
So.... Here is what I have replaced so far and here is what I need help on.
1) New Battery- Installed
2) Alternator Fuse- Replaced
3) TPS Sensor- Replaced
Problems now: Dome lights not working, stereo out, in dash clock out. Dome fuse been checked. However, when I go to replaced the 15A fuse for the dome it blows immediately. Is this is short somewhere? Is the entire system fired? Where do I start?
