Ok, so first off i wanna say hi to everyone, this is my first post, i just bought a 91 4runner 6 days ago, havent really gotten a chance to go over it very well or even really give it a tune up bein i work so much, but tonight me and a couple buddys wanted to go up into the woods to some place we used to hang out, nothin serious but it was a bumpy ride, everything was fine, got back into town, parked, turned it off, went inside, then came out to leave and i have absolutely NO power, nothing will turn on. im not sure why this could be, happened in my prelude once and it was my main fuse, but from what i can see mine look alright, i wasnt having any problems until i tried to start it back up and go, just wondering if anyone can help me out, tried jumping it nothing, the battery has a spark when you touch jumper cable together, but no spark what so ever when you touch the terminals to the battery posts

Sounds like an issue with the main battery ground... Check the cable coming off the negative side of the battery.

Get yourself a $5 volt meter

I'm assuming your fuse panels are like my 89 or close to it. Check to see if you have power on either side of the fuses that are in the box under the hood. If not then back up to the other end of the pos battery cable. If it's good there then check the power at the fuses behind the kick panel by the drivers door. It may also be a good idea to just suck it up and buy the factory service manual for your year. You will find that it will pay for itself in a very short time. It's save my ass a number of time. You probably either have a blown fuss or just a bad connection. Sometimes just pulling each fuss and relay and looking them over and putting them back in one at a time will solve an intermittant problem like yours. Oh, and did the person you bought it from seem a lot happier than he should have been? If so, now you know why.
