elocker retro fit questions

Hey guys I g round a smoking deal on a 3.73 geared e locker rear (just clamshell and gears not v complete housing) and I'm wondering if anyone here has actually retrofitted one into their 4th gen? I searched around and saw some write ups but not a whole lot of info. Thinkbi can handle the job but i obviously need to be prepared if I'm going to be cutting up the axle housing lol

I've done it. There is cutting to do on the housing and some drilling and tapping of new holes for a couple of the longer studs near the actuator. There is ample info already available on the web, so I won't regurgitate it here, but it is somewhat involved. Beats traction control though, no contest. Wiring the actuator is fairly simple, here's a great link, How To: DIY Retrofit Elocker Wiring - YotaTech Forums this is what I did and it works flawlessly.

I've done it. My retro turned out to be a lot more work than it should have been, which seems to be a typical trend every time I mod my truck, but in retrospect, it was all worth it. The e-locker works like a boss and I've actually had no trouble out of it, which is more than I can say for my good buddy with air lockers.
