when i sold my wrx and started researching these 4th gens, i wasnt aware there were 2wd versions. i went for a test drive and made an offer that was denied for a 2wd t4r! whats crazy is he didnt shake my hand on an offer $2200 more than what i paid for mine haha and in many ways i prefer the one i got instead of his even if it were 4wd. he reached out to try to get my offer and i made sure to let him know i bought a nicer one for cheaper.

crazy how stuff works - i would have sold the 2wd one it was that big of an error by me

I think its a being up north thing. The dealerships dont carry 2wd, only 4WD. I never knew that there were 2wd of 4runner/ tundra other trucks until I moved south. I think there are a few other threads here about 2wd 4Rs, but I was surprised as well. and yea, if you ever see a "clean" used truck that appears like a better deal than it is, see if its a 2WD that got shipped up from the south.
