emergency break bypass for nav.

I just got a new kenwood nav. does anyone know how to bypass the E. break so i can watch my Dvd's while I drive?

Need help ASAP, Thanks

i think you just dont install the wire to the break ... but who am i? i havent ever installed an indash dvd player.

All you have to do is ground that wire and your all set!!

Where do you live again? Southern California...whew...a long way from me... lemme know if you're headed to texas anytime soon... :

seriously tho, be careful...in some places it's illegal to do that...(I'd imagine california would be this way, but I don't know)

All points aside, usually it is just grounding the nav's parking brake sensor wire. a lot of people like to install a switch so that they can have it work normally if they want it to and can toggle it at will.

I guess I typed it wrong...not for me to watch but to have it on for my passenger.
anyways, I have everything running perfectly, Navi works, Dvd works, cd works, so i'm happy.
Just for the update I post here a week ago to see if I was able to have Navi and DVD on at the same time, the answer is YES. with Kenwood navi, you can have both on which is really cool.

I just bought a kenwood ddx-7019. Where did you mount your gps antenna? Where did you put your nav Unit? Also did you hook up all the speed sensor wires, and reverse wires? I'm most likely going to install the radio tomorrow, and any help would be greatly appericated.

you don't need the reverse wire unless you're hooking up a rear-view camera. The speed sense isn't important either... it basically helps the nav out if you are traveling through a lot of hills and what not, becuase its difficult for the GPS to detect elevation.

Why didn't you get the 7100 if you got the 7019 with the add on nav? Its the same thing with nav built in.

Price basically. I got the 7019 with nav for $200 less then I could have gotten the 7100. So any ideas on where to put the GPS antenna?
