emergency shut off?

Is there a safety "switch" after a collision? Like a fuel shot off, or an other type of electrical shut off? If so, where? Why wont my Runner at least fire over? Its like there is no power to the motor. I was able to jump the battery and roll up the windows and look at my mileage and all that jazz. Ill check the fuses again as well.

Hmmm?

Your supercharger is bad... send it to me and I'll check it out!

Honestly, I don't know though. I would check the fuses as well.

Is the starter cranking?
Is it getting spark?

Did your airbags go off? I know that most VW's have squibs (mini explosives) on the battery cables that go off when the airbags are triggered and the fuel pump will shut off. I am not sure if the 3rd gens have that or not.

01KY4R, Supercharger is in the mail. Please fix it for me... :thumb3:

Other than that, yes the battery is dead. I hooked up the battery cables to my other car, (fox body mustang), and all accessories worked. Had to roll up the windows due to rain. tried to crank it over and nothing. NO crank whatsoever. There are some severed wires from the wreck, but they look like they are from the head lights and tail lights.

I know other cars have these emergency measures so I was POSITIVE our Toyota would have one as well.

HMMMM...

Sounds like the battery might have a short in it from severe voltage drainage. The best thing to do is to Make sure there are no pinch wires anywhere, make sure the bottom of the fuse box is not grounded to anything, and take thew old battery out and use a known good one.

Also make sure the gear shifter is in Park or neutral too.
