Also good call on the Icon top bolts. I would rather use red loctite and washers than lock washers as well. Will be following your lead there. What size are those bolts again?

Yeah, blue Loctite with lock washers would be good. Actually, I think lock washers alone would be fine. Red Loctite with lock washers may be overkill. I've just seen stories on the forums of things falling off. Also, I don't want to bother re-checking torque specs on the suspension parts but I probably will. anyways - just not at the recommended 200 mile mark.

RCI Diff Skid

Might as well protect the Harrop E-Locker and 4.56 gearing. Hopefully it clears the panhard and Gas Skid with the LT, when fully articulated. I've already had to move the gas skid a far over to the outside and moved the rear support arm forward to stop the flange from rubbing during right turns on bumps. I think I may have to adjust the panhard the wrong way to prevent the flange from rubbing the skid, when the rear driverside is fully stuffed.

New Metal Tech Icon LT rear shocks has blemishes

Received the ICON Suspension pieces from Metal Tech and discovered blemishes on both the rear shocks. For 1 month, played email and phone tag with Metal Tech, but they didn't really seem to not want to take it back for an exchange. I was told, in a nice way, it's cosmetic and it shouldn't affect the performance - probably true but still a lot of money for a blemished product. I was also given a a reason that it would take months for a replacement, I said I didn't mind and I waited 2 weeks for the promised emailed shipping label - never came.
I got tired of waiting and hassling so I gave up. Maybe I should have contacted Icon directly.
Note, Alcohol couldn't clean it off and I didn't want to use harsher chemicals.

Rear Icon LT installed

Cycled each rear shock a couple times to bleed. Though, it probably doesn't require it since it's pressurized. I also added a 2.5" stanchion shock cover. I First mounted the shock to the lower mount but I needed help from a friend to hold the shock compressed just enough to be able to thread it into the top mount. Installed the Icon lower shin guard and added a few drops of red Loctite to the lower mounting bolt.
Also, the bolt for the reservoir mount was too large in diameter. I believe the supplied bolt was an 8mm but I needed a 6mm. It also only came with a lock washer but no washer. I got the correct bolts, lock washer and washer in Grade 8 form, from good ol' OSH. I also added red Loctite to those bolts.

Oh yeah, instead of using the supplied self tapping screw and hose clamp, I decided to just used a large Zip Tie to hold the reservoir hose along the frame.

Monster Valve install on new SCS Gun Metal Ray 10s

I followed the recommended mounting installation by mounting the Power Tank Monster Valves (version 1) directly across the normal valve stem. I used 4 drill bits - 1/8", 1/4" 3/8" and 7/16". A 1/2" - 18 NPT pipe tap was used to thread the hole. 4 tight layers of teflon tape was applied on the Monster Valve threads. I had to do 5 wheels, but I only got 2 out of 5 holes drilled straight . It's actually tough to notice the slightly crooked ones when mounted on the vehicle.
