engine cuts out while accelerating

My friend mom has a 02 4runner and while I was driving it I noticed that it seemed to lose power while accelerating but it doesnt do it all the time, kind of feels like a electrical thing but i doubt it. I have already changed the sparkplugs and wires so that is ruled out. I was thinking the fuel pump could be going out but not real sure and maybe the maf was dirty but i dont want to start any of that til I get some opinion.

Fuel filter, injectors, bad gas, timing could be off, sticking valves etc.

No codes and I thought the same thing I told them to sea foam it and see if it helps any if not then guess we can check the fuel filter,pump. How would I test a coil pack? Thanks for the spell check I have brain farts once in awhile:ybrick:

Hmmm.... I'd also try cleaning the TBI.

If I were in this situation I would do a full tune up.
Pull EFI fuse
Plugs
Wires
Fuel Filter
Clean MAF and Throttle Body(properly)
Re-Install EFI fuse

Also, the easiest way you could check coil packs is to switch them with known working ones,off your 4runner, one at a time.
I also like sea-foam, but I think you said you suggested that.
