Ok... so I know this might be a stupid question... but I thought I would ask anyway.
I have a 2005 4Runner, V6, Limited, 2wheel drive.
I recently took my car in for service and asked about the cabin air filter thing, I wanted to make sure it was changed during my last visit and asked how often that needs to be changed. According to them, it was changed 2 months ago, but I thought I remembered they said they didn't need to change it.
So anyway, the cabin air filter is just for the air that is coming inside the car, am I right? What's the engine air filter for?
Can anyone help me out and give me some quick instructions as to how to check my truck to make sure the cabin air filter was changed, and the engine air filter? Or point me in the right direction as to what to look for on the internet.
I'm a little bit of a girl when it comes to car service stuff & parts and I wanted to be a little more informed so I know what's up the next time I go in for service.
P.S.
I had a 35k mile service done today. Can anyone tell me what I should look for and verify under the hood that they should have done... like filled what liquids, changed what parts... and how would I know they actually changed those parts...? Any tips would be helpful.
(Sorry this is a bit long)
Thanks!
