Engine Oil /Sludge

i did, its clean oil. i'm talking about the thickness of the oil, onolder engines, why would u put oil that is like water? but like i said, it doesnt really matter what thick oil u use.

so should i do a flush cause i went 11k?? or not necessary?

Don't worry about a flush.

I used Valvoline High Mileage Synthetic Blend 5w-30 in mine.

What i would do to clean it out would be to do two oil changes. Do the first one and drive it for 1000 miles. Then do another oil change and then go with 5000 mile intervals from there.

Due to your mileage id stick with a highmileage oil like the one i mentioned. I have used valvoline and it has worked for me.

Also you need to get a decent oil filter. I like Purolators either the classic (white) or the pure one (yellow with sandpaper texture)

change the filter when you do both oil changes.

you can buy the oil and filters pretty cheap at walmart $17-18 for 5 quarts of valvoline high mileage oil there (Red container). They only sell purolator classic filters at walmart tho...

I always get the 5 quart jug and a 1 quart container. Keep the remainder of the 1 quart in the car to top off if necessary.

also when doing your oil changes be sure the engine is hot.

drive around for a bit and change the oil when its still hot. That way a lot of the sludge/gunk will still be loose from circulating and will drain out.

Just be careful as it will be hot if you're not using gloves.
