Engine squeak when sitting at light

'99 Limited with the 6cyl engine with approx. 190K miles...

When sitting at a stop in Drive, there is a noticeable squeak coming from the engine bay - noise seems to go with the engine rotation (if that makes sense). If I put it in Neutral, the squeak goes away.

The belts are just under a year old and look ok.

Could it be the water pump? I also tried turning the A/C off and that does not make it go away. It's just annoying and also want to ensure if something is starting to go I can address it now.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hoping someone may have some ideas or had this situation and found the remedy. It's an annoying little squeal or squeak that seems to occur when the engine is under load (almost always when at stop in Drive, have heard a bit once or twice while driving slow w/windows down). Not a constant noise but, again, seems to go with the rotation of the engine.

Shots in the dark:

Check ATF fluid
Check to make sure exhaust isn't rubbing/making contact
Engine mounts.

When the car is in drive, and you have your brake on, there is some torquing of the engine. It does shift about ~1/8 - 1/4"... so it might just be that there isn't enough clerance in some point in your engine bay. Be best to have someone hold the brake and you grab a long screwdriver and listen :/
