OK,so I finally got my engine swapped out the holiday weekend and it still wouldnt start. After asking for some pointers and tips, I changed out the wiring harness from the 98 motor I put in the truck, and used the wiring harness from the 97 bad engine, and it runs. If you do an engine swap from different years, always use the wiring harness from the motor you are replacing. I look ed at the wires of both and couldnt tell a difference but there is. The FSM never stated this part of the process but I say a write up by JMT2404 and thnak him for that it helped me out on this part. Now to do some mods to it, including replace the brakes wiht tundra calipers and rotors and put braided brake lines in.
