engine swap options?

I'm looking to swap out my 3.slow for something with some more giddy-up. I'm trying to find out what my options are from some of the subject matter experts here. I have a 91 4x4 on 33's. I'm looking at 3 different options, I know the easiest option would be to drop the 3.4 in and possibly supercharge it. The other option would be to do a diesel conversation I've seen a few other guys on this forum talk about. My third option I've been contemplating is trying to squeeze the 2jz engine from the toyota supra into it, what would be the major complications I would run into? Any help?

This question has been answered eleventy billion times btw, and its not just as simple as "how do I do it" or "what complications will I encounter". The possibilites, options, problems, solutions, pros, cons, are endless.

There are a few dudes on yotatech that have the 1uz swap and its damn fast.

I've done a couple Chevy swaps, the latest documented on the above mentioned site, with good results. Are you going to do the work yourself? Feel comfortable with the electrical? It's expensive and time consuming but rewarding when the smoke clears, er, when it's done. There's enough info out there for you to decide on what engine and transmission to run along with the component list and rough costs. You just have to decide what you're looking for. Go for it!
