Engine Swap Thoughts

i am no stranger when it comes to swaps, done plenty of domestics, and a few civics, and toyotas over the years, not all mine of course. My mind was wondering the other day at work talking to my friend who owns an 02 Ram 3500 turbo diesel. Now i am not all that familiar with diesel motors, worked on a few a really long time ago, but my question to you all is has anyone performed, or knows where to start on swapping a diesel into a 99 4Runner, choices are of course the 3.4L B diesel out of an early FJ40, or another thought was the 4.2 IHD turbo diesel out of an early 90s FJ80. So comments are welcome, chime in with what ever you have on your mind.
