Ok.. i was wondering if someone out there can help. I recently started having problems with my 97 4runner i dont know what it is. I start driving it in the street it runs fine but when i go in the freeway its after i go above 2rpms the truck starts having problems. I hit maybe 65mph and it runs fine but when i slow down and try to hit above 2rpms or 65mph the truck stalls on me, feels like its forcing itself,i have to step on the gas peddle all the way and the needle goes above 3 or 4 rpms til it feels like the truck finally switches gear then the needle goes back to 2rpms and i gain speed again sometimes ill hear 3 or 4 little poping sounds or clicks coming from the engine when its stalling. I slow down and it does the same thing again. Then sometimes when i exit the freeway and make a complete stop it shuts off on me. I started back up again and i go maybe a mile and sometimes it turns off again.. Just wondering if anyone can help me with this before i take it to a mechanic. Thanks.
