Good to hear! I've had mine just over a month and I love getting into it every morning-makes going to work a bit more bearable. I'm hoping that loving feeling lasts a long time. I had a 98 volvo V70 and mileage on the hwy is better in the runner and about the same in they city. So far:
What I love:
-the drive-handling and power are GREAT (I have V6 with Xreas)
-safety-I've read some posts here about accidents. They only made me feel more secure.
-going up north over new years, returning with almost 6 inches of snow on the ground and NO issues (VSC kicked in once, all that beeping and flashing made me think I was in some kind of high tech jet for a second)
-the stock stereo-I've read people have issues with it, but it sounds great to me
-interior and cargo space (though I'm a short guy). The ONLY thing I miss about my volvo is the retractable dog gate that enabled loading a ton of stuff in the back and not worrying about it pitching forward on my kids
-heated seats with multiple settings (volvo was on or off, on got VERY hot)
-the ignition (no need to hold key in start position)
-service from toyota-they conditioned the interior and exterior to near mint condition and bent over backwards to make me happy-as I was leaving the salesman noticed the rear headrests were not there and said he'd have to order me some in (who knows how long it would have been before I noticed THAT)
Not so much:
-the toyota all weather/cargo mats, rear especially are useless (wish I hadn't made such a big deal about them putting them in as part of the deal)
-the double decker shelf-how this wasn't discontinued by 06 or earlier is beyond me. The fact that the lip of the top shelf (which probably stays down most of the time) is curved is completely idiotic
-cup holders-another "what were they thinking". I might as well put my cup on top of the dash
-the rake/ground clearance-soon to be remedied with a lift (I'm leaning towards daystar 2.5/1.5, and bigger tires eventually)
