Entune App

I have my iPhone connected with bluetooth but I don't use the Entune app. Does the app provide other useful features that are only available when the app is on the phone?

if you use the navigation it allows you to search and save addresses in advance so you don't have to do it in the vehicle, it updates the weather so it doesn't have to rely on HD Radio, allows you to use the iheart radio and other apps

I enter GPS addresses in the truck and I play iHeartRadio, Pandora, etc from my phone. For weather I ask Siri.

Does the Entune App offer anything else that 4Runner owners find useful?

I found it useless and deleted from my phone.

If you're okay looking at a tiny screen while driving then no, but in that case I'm not sure why you made this thread since there are countless others on the same subject

Completely useless.

Once in awhile it connects the phone and the car together and occasionally it exchanges data like the destination you have entered on the phone. Most of the time it refuses to connect and no data is exchanged.

Cell signal is used for the apps, like fuel prices etc. 1/2 the time that isn't reliable either.
