Entune Smart phone

I read all the issues with iPhone and the system. I had a iPhone once, it finally went in my 20 ton shop press!!
Currently using a Pantech antique that bluetooths fine. BUt if I understand correctly there are other features of the system that could be unleashed with an updated smartphone.
So...
What works best with the Entune system
HTC, LG, Samsung Galaxy, etc..
What works, what half works, what's annoying.
If you're an iPhone lover, save your time typing! You are NOT EVER EVER going to convince me to buy another apple product!! Unless it's from a farmer, grocer, farmer's market and came off a tree!! And I don't mean an electronic device on a xmas tree!!!

Oh, I'm sure I'm going to get blasted
Use the search for this or that, blah blah blah.
Yeah did all that.
Found a whole bunch of complaining about what doesn't work. My iPhone does this or that, My android does too, Toyota's at fault, etc...
Anybody got any good.
I know how to use the search function here and have. Not much other than a bunch of *****in.......
Maybe I'll just stick with the ancient Pantech!!

:spy: :becky: :jk:

I have used an iPhone 5 and an HTC M8 with Entune and to be honest they were about the same. Entune has limited features for me since I am in Hawaii, something the dealers don't tell you about. Can't wait to see the unavailable features activated when I get back to the states. I can confirm that both the HTC and iPhone 5 both let you use music via Bluetooth, phone contacts synced, and hands free calls. That's about all I would say I have used. Good luck on whatever phone you choose.

P.S. I went from iPhone to Android and love my droid better if that helps.

We have two apples, a galaxy and a blackberry in my family. They all pair up fine in the 4Runner. Must be you.

biggest issue I have with my old Samsung galaxy S3, the stupid entune app doesn't always work correctly with the head unit, so I cant stream Pandora at times.

and when I am sitting waiting for the warden and the 4runner is on acc. mode, and make a phone call directly from the phone, it always routes thru the head unit.

I know the daughters s5 works great with her new recent (june-2014) Rav4 with entune.

if you go out to Toyota's entune website, they have a pdf file that shows what does/doesn't work across all carriers and phones and what features does/doesn't work.

My wife and I both have iphones and they work great so far. I did have to unpair, shut-down phone and 4runner, re-pair with my wife's iphone 5s. After that smooth sailing.

Probably just jinxed myself.

I had a iphone 4S then a Galaxy S4 both worked good but with the galaxy I could reply to text messages. Now I have a HTC M8 and does the same but this time the email feature does work not that I care about getting junk mail
