With no ability to search for three-letter things such as "USB," I'm kind of stuck with going ahead and asking my question, so sorry if I've missed this in my searching.
I've got a 2017 TRD Off Road Premium, the successor to the Trail Edition Premium, with Entune Plus (either Entune Plus or Premium - I don't remember for sure which).
I've been trying to use a 32G USB flash drive that worked perfectly with the aftermarket head unit I had in the '04 4Runner this one replaced, but more than 1500 of the 2500 or so songs on the drive just don't show up in the Entune unit's directory. I have reformatted (a real format, not the quick format) the drive to FAT 32 and double-checked: all files are either MP3 or M4A (the vast majority are MP3), so all should work. I have tried to see whether there are differences in the tags and other meta data between files that show up in my car and those that don't, but nothing is jumping out at me.
My drive is not organized - all songs are on the root directory.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
