EPIC Road Trip 2016 - CO, UT, ID, MT, WY, SD

Hey everyone!

I am trying to get some exposure for my thread, posted in the off-roading section (does not seem to get much traffic) but me and my girlfriend are doing a 16 day trip from the end of July to about mid August.

Looking for suggestions for things to do, places to stay etc. Full details are in the link below... Most importantly, I'm looking for any local members who would like to meet up and run some of the more difficult trails, as we will be riding solo.

Yeah I'm surprised too... Sometimes it's hard to get good visibility. Maybe next year I epic road trip the east coast!

I was just in your neck of the woods all last week. Wife's family reunion on Smith Lake, Bankhead National Forest, then Stony Lonesome OHV, then off to Talladega National Forest for the skyway motorway. That is an awsome trail. We ended out trip in Cherokee National Forest in TN.

Yeah; I was trying to go with them but ended up spending a week with my in-law's in NC. It seems like somebody in the group is always going to Big Bend or Moab/CO yearly.

Where in Montana will you be heading? Grew up in Thompson Falls. There's a stunning place called Hot Springs just a few miles from Plaines, Montana. Great place to relax for a night.

As for off-roading, I don't know anymore. I left when I was a teenager.

I'll be within a couple hundred mile radius of Yellowstone. Morrison Jeep Trail and a couple other trails in the area are my highest priority. I will check out your links. Thanks!

Sounds epic! I live in Buena Vista, CO. You would love it here. We have the largest concentration of 14ers in the state and lots of good wheeling. Have a great trip hope to see lots of pictures in this thread over the next few weeks!!
