Estimated mileage for TR4

How many miles are you guys planning on putting on your TR4?

Do you think off roading will hamper your ability to put high miles on your 4 runner even though its meant to take the abuse?

I'm planning on at least 250K for my 07 v6 limited but am hoping for more.

I plan on driving my runners into the ground and keeping them both for a long time. I am not one to buy and cycle new vehicles every 4 or 5 years. I am not into eternal car payments until death. I even see plenty of 2nd gen runners still on the road let alone 3rd gens which I also see everywhere. I can only surmise that my 4th gens would last just as long if not longer. They are very well overly built and solid. It's made to take a beating so I am not worried. There is also the offroad after market so parts will always be available. Hell, at 250k I would say you've broken it in. There are some with 300+k and still running strong. In my neighborhood, 3rd gens are a dime a dozen and seem damn near bullet proof.

I purchased my '08 4Runner with one of the main reasons being to keep the vehicle as long as possible. I will run this vehicle into the ground! They're very well made and whether it be 10, 15 years or more, the longer it lasts, the better! I love my 4Runner.

I think running a 4Runner offroad is fine as long as you keep it properly maintained.

We typically drive our vehicles until the cost for repairs becomes too much...or they get totaled somehow.

I plan to keep the 4Runner until around 200k, I'm currently at 76k miles so it shouldn't be for a while.

Bought mine at age 19. When I bought it, I told myself I would drive it until I'm 30. Looking back on the math (and the last year), thats only about 100k miles for me...

I'll be happy if it works for 200k miles, and I expect it to.


(Though don't you think the technology is going to be so much better in 10 years...)
