just wondered if anybody had ever set up an on/off switch for the daylights on their 3rd gen 4runner... there are times when i wish i had the option to shut them off. i dont want to run just my fogs and parking lights; its not a dodge pick-up.
i can continue with my research on the subject and idea... but thought i would toss the prospect that someone has already set this up.

thanks in advance for any guidance on an on/off switch for the daylights.

Search is a great feature! http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/29681-how-disable-drl-your-3rd-gen-earlier-models.html

please dont pollute my thread with sarcastic nonesense. influence the next generation with using your time more wisely.
i just wondered if anybody had set up an internal (inside the cab) on/off switch; maybe i could get some nice friendly thoughts on their time spent setting it up.

i know how to use a search button and did it but found no one with info on an internal switch.

Woah... Someone's quick to respond :vader:

another option i think would work is when you cut the wire just attach a male/female adapter to both ends of the wire, this would give you an easy plug, unplug deal?? i duno this has been on my mind for a while but the switch looked kind of compliucated to me. good luck!

thanks piperoo! thats just what i was lookin for :)

Not sure the 2001/02 instructions will work for the 2000 since I think the DRL module is in the engine compartment and not under the dash. You'd have to run back though the firewall to wire up a switch...
