Everybody OK in the South? -Wicked weather

Watching the news and I can't believe the amout of destruction and fatalities. I thought there were some folks from Tuscaloosa that were on here. Thoughts and prayers go out to all that have been hit with the wicked weather.

Safe by the Grace of God

An EF4 just missed my house by about a mile in Harvest. Power is out, water is being conserved, stores are closed, gas stations are out of gas if they can operate, and many many many homes got destroyed. Our house is still up, but the fence is down, yard is full of insulation, shingles and other building materials that the tornadoes deposited in our yard....its quite erie to see pieces of houses floating down from the sky. No volunteers are allowed to get into the neighborhoods hit to help clear trees because the search and rescue effort hasn't found everybody missing yet. There is a dusk til dawn curfew as well. We left town to stay with my wife's family in tennessee because we have a 3 month old. If it had been just the two of us, we definitely would've camped out. Phone lines are out and the cell service bandwidth is getting eaten up by the media and emergency response services. Still haven't been able to reach my friends. Anyway, you all keep praying for those families that lost loved ones. Here's a pic of the gas station a mile away from my house:

I don't know about other members, but I'm ok.

My house was literally right at the edge of the destruction. Some of the houses on the street behind mine and a couple of streets over are literally piles of rubble...

It amazes me how many trees and houses are gone.. They used to block the view of this Home Depot...

Ouch, this really has been a terrible year for weather in the US. Sorry to hear about these storms, good luck!

we had an ef5 touch down about a mile north of me i live in NC, we got alot of wind but no major damage alot of trampolines unwillingly relocated though. Alot of cities around me did get hit hard though, I just thank god they all missed me and my family, knock on wood.
