Nate - what's the latest with the Jeep?

:photo:

Still have it, just in Qatar for the time being. It was a lot rougher than described. I don't know how you drove it home. Both motor mounts were literally gone. I torqued it once and the engine hit the hood and pinned the throttle. We put some lawyers on him and seeing if we can get some money back out of him.

My wife in all her awesomeness decided its not what she wanted so, its getting turned into a wheeler. I already have a 5.3l/6l80 for it and its getting an atlas 2 as well. Stock arch alcan springs with a SOA and a rear shackle flip. Leaving the dana44s just gonna make them indestructible as possible with some ARB's and run some 35-37s. Body and interior will stay stock with some tasteful armor.

:suspicious:

Have you been bodysnatched?

WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH NATE?

Well custom width axle shafts are expensive, so are RCV's but they have a lifetime warranty and are 30 spline inner and outer. Add an ARB and some 300m warn premiums, I have a dana 60ish front end.

For the rearend 300m shafts and an ARB. Maybe a full floater setup but I think ill chance it first.

With age comes wisdom and the "Keep It Simple Stupid" philosophy its finally setting in on me. Ill still over build it but it will be more practical and drivable this time.

Plus I blame you. I have a jeep and you threw the challenge in the moab mix so of course Ill have to show you up one of these days. Whats the purpose of a challenge if you dont follow through.

Hot dam. 17k... How much did you sell it for?

I sold it for 15k over a year ago and I had a bad ass spare tire carrier on it that is now gone...
I gave all the receipts with it and apparently they are being handed down. Also said the trans was done locally. It thats true it makes the 4th transmission in 200 miles. Guess it was the weak link :noidea:

Yeah, I thought that was your rig when someone mentioned it in another thread. Couldn't imagine another one that similar to your beast, especially with the built small-block and Atlas T-case.
