Excuse my ignorance but i have a question

I had been told by a friend of mine that told me the 3rd gen 4runner cant have a body lift, and will only take a suspension lift, but I have seen some of you guys that have a 3rd gen with body lifts. Can you get body lifts for it, or is there something you have to do to make it accept a body lift? Thanks in advance.

Yes, 3rd gens can have body lifts, there's nothing special to do.

Your friend is wrong. Body lifts can be installed on completely stock 3rd gen 4runners easily. You will have to raise the bumpers to match the body or you'll have a gap.

roger brown body lift is all you need to know.

I recommend 4crawler.com because they have the bumper lift brakets. And if you're going higher than 1.5", they have the radiator drop brackets, steering shaft extensions and anything else you'll need. There's a lot of good info on his site but it's a bit of a labyrinth.

They're both rear end coils, the 891 is stronger for more weight. The 890 is less stiff for less weight. The 890 rides smoother but will sag under heavy load.

Yes, and don't get the 891s unless you regualrly haul around at least 2-300 lbs of extra weight in the back otherwise they will be very stiff. BTW, Roger Brown is 4crawler. You'll hear both names, but it's the same product.
