Exhaust for '02

Anybody have a good exhaust recommendation for my '02 limited? I want to do some moderate off-road stuff and have some decent sound on that truck.

Buy a Borla muffler and have a shop weld it on from ther cat back instead of spending double on something like a TRD exhasut which are about $600 and you can do a custom one for half.

its hard to buy an exhaust! since you will not know how it will sound on your 4runner till after the install. i been going around town listening for a nice tone exhaust from a 4runner but cant seem to find one too. i might just take out the 2 cats and see how that sound like with a stock muffler.

I kind of like the 40 , but I really liked the 50 I heard on a sound clip.
Did you check out the 50?

Was the soundclip of the 50 on a 4runner, because they're going to sound different on every vehicle. I had 2 super 40's on a 95 mustang gt and it sounded awesome, but I wasn't nearly as happy with the sound of the same muffler on my 4runner. It sounds tough when you start the engine and when you're revving it up, but once you start coasting, the drone can get a bit loud and annoying depending on your taste. I ended up taking it off after a about a year or so, and putting my stock muffler back on. I agree with JustAnotherT4R that it's hard to find a good exhaust. I think we're all looking for something that'll sound close to the throaty sound of a full sized v8 truck, but I realized it's probably not gonna happen. Maybe I'll try spiking the gasoline with some hydroxycut and steroids.

I'm sure many of you have already seen this page...it's been posted before. A bunch of soundclips of different mufflers/exhausts on 4runners. The vortex cherry bomb sounds kinda nice.
