I was wandering if it would sound better and get a lil more power if i bought an air filter and got an exhaust, they arent emissions here in Kentucky but i was wandering if i should cut the caty off and install flowmasters or something has anyone did this. Whats the best exhaust hook up and intake? If anyone has an exhaust on their 3.0 mind geting a vid and leting me hear it, or do 3.0 sound like **** with an exhaust lol.

My CAT was already gone, but no, I have never owned a Flowmaster muffler, but I will eventually ... series 40 perhaps? I would want the whole exhaust line replaced too since mine is old and rusty.

I don't know if Flowmaster makes an exhaust system for 4Runners, maybe this one can work on a 4Runner?

but then again, maybe not.. I don't know enough about this stuff yet, we should spend some time over in the PERFORMANCE forum.

I have a K&N filter with a highflow cat and a flowmaster 40. Sounds great but didnt do a thing for performance. (not that I can tell anyway)

Are there any cat back exhaust systems out there for the 4runner?

I live in the PRK (peoples republic of kalifornia), so chopping the cats is not in the cards.

From what I hear, the best thing you can do for the 3.0 is headers. There really isnt any doing in doing the rest of the exhaust (other than for sound) unless you do headers.
