Does anyone else’s floor on the passenger side get hot???
Mine does when towing the trailer. I am looking for ideas on how to cool the floor down some.
I am thinking of using some header wrap.
Does anyone else have any ideas?

I just want to clarify some things so I can watch and see if I notice anything for myself. Are you going pulling through mountains, long trips, or heavy loads?

I can't say I've noticed anything while pulling only 1 ton behind. Obvious question: have you checked exhaust for any cracks?

Easy solution is getting some thermal exhaust wrap. Pretty cheap $10 is a starting point for like 1" x 15' roll. You could also try a heat shield.

Yes I am towing about 4000 lbs
When I am not towing its fine. But when towing the passeneger side floor gets hot. Mostly in the back.
I have some header wrap that I am going to put on but was looking to see if any one else had issues and what they have done.
There are no stupid questions unless they are not asked.

Can you provide some more information?

Year, trim, engine, suspension type, average outside temperature when towing, how long are you towing 2tons for?
