have any of you had the pie-plate-thin heat shields above the exhaust pull through the nuts that hold them up? the one above the muffler has pulled though all 4 nuts. and another shield has one nut pulled through. i am planning to get some fender washers to put them back on. or do you have other suggestions?

you know. i tried searching this before i posted my questions, and i couldn't find anything. so just know i look at what i posted and down at the bottom of the page are the "similar threads". i read them. found what i was looking for and even found that my idea for repair has been used successfully. i have used the search function on other sites, but for some reason i can't find what i am looking for with this one. sorry for starting a thread that has been covered.

Most of the time this is a friendly place. There will be a few "search nazi's" but we're all here to help. Glad you found what you were looking for.

thanks for the reply man. i am on several other types of forums, and for some reason i have trouble searching this one.

i see in your sig you are running treadwrights. how is that going for you? i almost pulled the trigger on a set. my brother has made up his mind that he is going to get some when the time comes. i would like to be able to give him some info from someone with first hand experience with the.

Glad not everyone is. Sometimes it's hard to find what you're looking, and sometimes is noobs like to get "second opinions" that haven't been discussed. So thanks for being cool about it.

Yep, and the noise intrusion was very noticeable when it dropped off to. I just got some bigger washers and stuck it back up there. I may dynomat the floor some time to deal with the noise level but so far so good.

This should do the trick
