Exhaust leak???

Dreaded exhaust leak on my 2000 4runner.

It is right after the cat where it bolts up to the exhaust. Anyone fixed/had this issue?

Is is a gasket? Anyone have the part number I need?

I don't want to hijack the thread but I have a similar question but my exhaust leak sounds to be just out from the motor. I was told there is some kind of cone that needs to be replaced. Can anyone out there help me?

It is is a gasket.

Go to parts store or dealer, tell them which gasket you need, buy it and bring it home, then take 2 wrenches and remove the bolts to the flange that is leaking.

Replace gasket and re-install bolts.

Done.

Cant help you gus, but i have a 2000 with trd headers that have a leak where all the side bank come together on the right side. Only way to deal with it is remove the headers and have it welded. What a pain in the ass.
Side bar, had magnaflow exhaust, had a good sound, after installing the headers, dam thing sounds like a tuner car, hate it. What muffler do you guys run with trd headers, i need something new just for sanity.

part number 17451 on that diagram, any auto parts store should be able to get it for you as well
