exhaust options

I have spoken with two exhaust guys near me in Bend Or. One says that for the 22RE going above 2" piping will cause back pressure, the other recommends 2.5" with a magnaflow turbo muffler. Which would you guys recommend?

2 1/4" from header to tip. Magnaflow mufflers are very loud.

got it, the other two options that I was given were flowmaster and dynomax, I have listened to youtube clips and they sound pretty loud as well. any recommendations for a more quiet muffler that will flow nicely.

I did headman header and 40 series flowmaster with 2 1/4 pipes. it was extremely loud. I ended up putting an 18 inch resonator in and kinda wish i went with a 24 inch. its not to bad now but the 24 would have lowered the tone more.

You should go with headers for sound also if you get long header it is supposed to increase torque!!!
Flowmaster is for sound and Magnaflow will actually show some difference in performance.
