Exhaust Suggestion?

I have a 04 V6 with stock exhaust. I'm looking to replace with something pretty specific and hope to get some suggestions.

1. Looking to replace muffler thru tailpipe with a unit with a moderately deeper throat (but nothing too crazy....middle of the road volume).
2. I'd also like the exhaust to exit the side (behind the rear wheel), not straight out the back.
3. This is also my first hands-on exhaust project so I'd like to get something that I can bolt right together with what currently exists on my 4runner (no pipe bending or soldering).
4. Last, would prefer a matte black system, if possible.

If you're looking to get rid of your stock exhaust system I would be interested in taking it off your hands

On the topic at hand I had the Magnaflow cat back system. It looked awesome and sounded great...from the outside. Inside it had a drone that I could have lived with, but to the passengers it became unbearable. From reading various posts on the subject, that particular Magnaflow system was pretty notorious for it. Reluctantly I sold it to another member but not a day goes by where I don't miss it in one way or another.

It would meet most of your criteria except for the last part. I don't know of any matte black bolt on cat back system that wasn't custom.

u can always paint what ever exhaust u get with high temp exhaust paint. something like VHT header paint or this, PJ1 Flat Black Exhaust Paint | 910-634 | J&P Cycles

since you want only sound go for a flowmaster as they are cheap and have a shop make you a custom cat back. either you or the shop can paint it for you as well.

I'd love to upgrade the exhaust of my 2008 V6....but it's difficult without getting to hear what the end result sounds like.

A slightly more throaty sound with a modest HP increase would be perfect.

i'm pretty sure it only fits the 03-04 V8 models only, remember seeing it on the box when I got mine installed. But yes it looks sick and sounds great!

nope fits all models, v6 or v8. just look at the borla kit same thing. look at a 4runner with the xsp option as a reference
