Exhaust system suggestions

Hey all,

I am looking to replace my exhaust system on my 1994 4Runner SR5 V6 4x4.

What are your suggestions for a nice, deep tone exhaust system?

Stock cat. Just went to a shop and had them weld it in with a new tailpipe

Oh wow. Would you be able to link me to the FlowMaster that you used? Looking at a couple different FlowMasters, ie. 40 Series and 50 Series. 50 Series seems to have the deep tone, 40 Series sounds great though. I don't know if it'd be too loud for my apartment complex.

I have a 2.5 cat-back using a high-flow catalytic converter, and Flow Master 40 (series) muffler also - love the low rumble growl when I'm crawling up a mountain in low gear.

Since I am welding impaired I took my truck to a local fab shop, and they did the welding and fabricating along with selling me the cat and muffler. The work is fanastic!

Oh wow, that looks great! I will have to look into that.

Thanks!

I would try a muffler delete straight pipe. Its what I have now besides all the other things. You will get the true sound of the motor with a muffler delete. The sound goes with the rpm which I like a lot. Normal driving range-1500-3000 rpm is deep and any higher it screams(this is with my setup though and is great). However there will be drone on the highway. I cant imagine it will be as loud though with just taking out the muffler and nothing else.

I have tried a flowmaster super 44 on it back with the cat-back I tried but it wasn't loud enough and didn't promote the best sound. I didn't like it at all.

Anyway play with your options and see how it turns out. Good luck
