Exhaust Tip fell off

Hi everyone....i have a TRD exhaust and it came with a welded on chrome tip that had the TRD logo on it. About 9 years old now and had a little bit of surface rust on it but nothing alarming. I must have hit a bump or who knows what, but my tip is gone! Just the exhaust pipe, and some buildup where the tip had been welded on. I searched a bit online and cannot find just a TRD tip, only complete exhaust system. I have seen tips from various companies, borla, gibson, etc etc, and also $25-35 tips over at Autozone. Having never had a tip fall off or have to buy a replacement, I thought I would ask for any opinions.....

exhaust tips

first off that sucks. as for getting another exhaust tip I would stay away from the auto zone stuff. the chrome plating is horrible at best and will start to pit and rust very quick. Doug Thorley is a good brand they have various sizes to chose from. fallow the link below. I belive the trd exhaust is made out of This system is constructed from aluminized 406 stainless steel you could go to a metal fabricator and have them cut some scrap tube and weld and polish it for you. any other tip you buy will not be welded on so the chance are more likely that it will rattle off or get stolen. hope this helps.

If you find a suitable replacement could you let me know? I'd really like to get a replacement TRD tip once mine falls of (as it sounds like it will). The tip on my system lost its's shine after about 2 months of being installed.:sobbing:

I have this tip for sale 80 shipped to the lower 48 states. paypal accepted

I second the Magnaflow tip!!! I have one of the duel wall tips..( it think its called that) and it's solid, still looks great and its a well over a year old. I've heard and seen that the TRD (the writing) starts so rust after a while. I'd stay away from the bolt on's cause they can get stolen or easily fall off. crazy i know! i didn't know there was a black market for exhaust tips either until mine was stolen a long time ago on one of my old cars.
