Sorry to revive an old thread. Just tried to install my exhaust and it will not even slide on the muffler pipe. Do I need to spread it out ?

Well I feel stupid...this tip doesn't fit my factory tailpipe. Part #PT932-89100. Says fits all 2010 and up 4R's. Mine is a '14 Trail Premium and the pipe is oval shaped. No way this tip will go on unless I bend it all to hell.

Yup - our 2013 SR5 came with that tip and the rack crossbars too. Maybe it's another area thing; or standard dealer order thing.

Why would you need to bend it?
Did yours come with the 2 inserts and the clamp?

If so, it will fit.

My tailpipe is shaped like an egg and the exhaust tip is round. I would need to bend the exhaust tip to fit the shape of the tailpipe. I take it other 5th gen's have rounded tailpipes? Not sure why mine would be any different. I'll take pics when I get home for work.

The rest look just like the OP's pipe. Yours sounds like it has been changed out or squashed offloading.

I'm attempting to take the chrome tip off of mine and it appears a portion of the lip was crimped and I can only get the damn thing to wiggle around with lots of effort and WD40, sans clamp obviously.

Any advice for prying it off without bending the shi* out of my tailpipe?

Or I may just cut it off further up for the sake of not dragging it off road.

Agree with Danimal....

You could always do this and kill 2 birds with one stone!

I'm looking for one of these exhaust tips if anyone is "uninstalling"

Never mind ... found one!
