When it comes to welding exhaust tips on, does it have to be a air tight weld? I just recently had my exhaust tail pipe re-routed more behind tire angled instead of straight back, they eliminated the resonator and put in a huge 'black stainless steel' tip and I'm really digging how it looks but just noticed the weld isn't perfect all the way around and when you look down the tip, you can see some light shinning through, just wanted to be sure this wasn't a big deal. I mean, it seems very sturdy.

Nope. No reason it has to be perfect. It would be impossible to get a weld around the whole tip without removing the entire exhaust.

Yeah I wouldn't let it bother me. Mine has a gap of about 1/2 an inch on the top where they couldn't reach it. It's been like that for two years probably.

that sounds exactly how mine is... on the top, half inch, that's where the light shines through.
