exhaust?

thank god i haven't had the time because of work to install my gibson exhaust.....because it HASNT COME YET. i placed the order on 12/29/2008 with Autoanything.com and i have yet to receive my order. i've spoke to reps from Autoanything many times and from what they can tell me, Gibson itself shut down its plants for two weeks at the end of 2008. so now they have been playing catch up and are way behind on orders. that would have been nice to know when i placed the order so that it didn't tie up my $$$$. just venting. im gonna cancel the order and get a borla or something. im tired of this. any one have any sound clips of borla dual cat back for a v8 T4R?

I dont have any sound clips but I can tell you that it sounds awesome! bought mine for 499.00 on ebay, I wasnt even looking for an exhaust but I stumbled upon this and I shopped around on the price and no one even came close to 499.00 so I bought it. The cheapest Ive seen it on sites was 749.00 and the most expensive was 1200.00. Its installed on my 2003 Runner V8 with 24000 miles. How difficult was the install? Did you have access to a lift? or do it on a creeper.

I just jacked up the rear of the Runner with a 3ton floor jack. The truck sits so high anyway that it was enough.

$499.00 is dirt cheap! i looked today only to find the cheapest one at $899

How loud is the exhaust, i want to put exhaust on my 04 but i dont want it to be super loud when I am backing out of my driveway or just driving slow, i just want it to be mean when i step on it.

You cant hear it when you are at idle. when your cruising you get a nice quiet mean rumble. when you step on it it roars! I also have the K&N cold air intake on the truck so it is real loud when I open it up. :bash: :awais:
