Exhuast help!!

So last week i installed a flowmaster super 40 muffler, however after switching it and cutting the resonator off, it isnt really the loudness i was looking for (have the V6) however even with the muffler totally off it really wasnt too loud, am i missing something of is it like that because of having 4 cats?

I have a v8, but with all the videos I've looked at.
Flow master and magna flow are loud, but not the loudest.
I had my exhaust just cut off for several months.
Then I installed a cherry bomb exhaust, and it is so much louder, I have a louder idle tone, etc

I don't know but personally I took off the front two cats and put on a borla cat back and it's crazy loud when my foot is on the gas. Maybe do the rest piping first before messing with headers and removing cats though bc that's been a pain.

should of use the super 44 in the 3 inch size with custom pipes, man that thing was loud, louder than the magnaflow cat back that was installed on another 4th gen around my neighborhood. i grew older and gave up that drone for a tame tone so i got lucky and scored a borla dual cat back, man that thing was a night and day difference in sound and got some performance back.
