Expensive Damn Plastic

I'm working around my front fender, and dealing with taking the fender flares off and cleaning them and treating rust behind them, etc., and these damn grommets and plastic clips are killing me.

Half them are broken or are in miserable ****ing shape from the previous owners. The other half are mangled by me. Pulls hair.

I have screws in my rear fender flare, and they go into this small plastic clip that fills up a square hole. In the front for the fender flare and for the splash guard there are these weird square grommets with a flat circular head.

I want a cheap practical method of replacing these. Any suggestions? PLEASE?

I'd like something that is more reusable. At least something that isn't $1.92 or $0.76 each. I find these grommets a PITA!

It is what it is.

You can try mail-order or internet but the shipping will eat your savings.

You can try double sided stick tape, the kind that hold emblems and body moldings on.

I may bite the bullet and find out how many I need exactly, and just go get them. I'd love to improvise something, though. I think I'll experiment with nuts, bond, and bolts.

I ended up just buying all new ones from the dealer. Cost me like $50. Totally worth it for a correct fit and not screwing around trying to rig something.

I went to Toyota and got them for $1.60 each. Not so bad. All the other options at the hardware store were about the same price. I just live in the past, I guess, where nuts and bolts are pennies a bag. I needed about 15. Yikes!
