experience with addicted off-road

I got my rear bumper and sliders in early November. My plate front just showed up today. Ordered and paid in full for all of it in August. Between some sales and people quitting it took longer than expected. The rear went on without any fuss, once I get the front on I am heading to a friends shop to put the sliders on and add a few welds on the crossmember and bumpers as a little theft deterrent.

I had a trip setup for the second week of December 15, and had to cancel. I spoke to Scotty on several occasions and got nothing but excuses. I ordered back on Sep 09,15, and the flyer said 4-6 weeks delivery. It is now 26 Dec, 15 they are not answering emails and screening their phone lines.

How many others out there are having the same issues with Addicted Off-Road or is this solely a problem I'm having.

What are you doing about this type of service on this Forum?

I will advise you on your 2nd post. Grab a chair and take a seat, throw some elevator music on while you wait. Alot of fab shops will tell you 4-6 weeks and that usual is never the case unless you're talking about ordering an assembly line product like ARB.

If you're going to buy something fabbed up like this you will always expirence lead times and delays like this. Just the business.

Ragging on them will not expedite your order.

if its normal to not get them in the 4-6 weeks they say, why do they give you that lead time at all?

its not ragging when they say your product will be delivered within a specific time frame, and it doesn't happen. "business" would be dealing with each rightly upset customer, due to their failure to hit THEIR own imposed timeline.

just ignoring the situation is NOT business, well its certainly not GOOD business.

Patience. It sucks but comes with the territory. Even though lead times say one thing...remember they are computer cut and hand made technically. It's not a factory pumping out (x) parts a day.

Not answering calls is expected. Not RETURNING calls/emails is unprofessional in my opinion.

In order to avoid looking like a xxxx company fan boy, I'll just say this...

I ordered my front and rear bumpers without powdercoat from the company I ordered them from and picked them up from the freight company EXACTLY 4 weeks later. They apologized for the wait, but it had been a busy time for them (it was a black friday order).

When I replaced my rear bumper with a new bumper from the same company, this time with powdercoat and a couple options, I agreed to test out a new spindle setup, so they said it'd be a "couple weeks longer than normal". 5 weeks later I picked it up at the freight company.

When you're spending thousands of dollars, I think it's more than fair to be upset about grossly understated lead times.

Hopefully the install goes super smooth plus no mistakes in the order. I think there's still another package out in mail land because the email says 2 separate tracking numbers. I'm not sure tho. We will see wooooohooooo

Bijan, waiting 20 weeks for a bumper was not worth it. I ordered and paid up front. Especially not when, while being a good looking and stout piece, it is not a one off deal.

WOW, my Shrockworks bumper came on a pallet with a wood & cardboard frame. They also only charged me half up-front & the other half when shipped. They were right on time too, 6-8 weeks.

I e-mailed Addicted about sliders & they never got back to me. Adam from 4xINN got back to me right away. Guess who I'll be buying my slides from.

I received the front bumper on the 29th, now I have to see how long it will take for the rear bumper and sides to make it here. Maybe he's trying.

The remainder came in a couple weeks ago, and I decided to have them sprayed. They get put on Monday, and so far I'm very happy on how they look off the truck.

I have to comment on this again, totally irrelevant to my feedback on build times.

I got an Addicted front tube bumper recently, for an incredible price. Like the fairlead and led turn signals that came with it cost more then I paid for the bumper. I was very impressed from a fabrication/bumper building background how well it all fit. They are very well built and I have made the decision to ditch both of my tube bumpers for quality built bumpers such as these.

Have you guys been getting your bumpers on a more timely basis? While they are quality and "worth the wait", I am still unwilling to throw down $700+ dollars for a bumper and wait 4 months for it. Someone recently said 3 weeks, that's a possibility..

Otherwise, any current addicted customers want to sell their rear bumper? I'll pay very well if you can save me the wait time and get your aftermarket parts money back that otherwise is lost.
