Expirence with Scanners and data logging

I was looking on Amazon at this data logger and was wondering if anyone can recommend it or another capable of displaying and recording live data.

I have seen a few that hook upto my PC and others through bluetooth to my phone. And, as cool as that would be my priority is to find one that connects with my truck, displays as much useful info as possible, and records in a format I can print.... and be under $175, if possible. Thank You for your responses.

EDIT: I probably wont be going with the unit I linked to above b/c I realize I'd prefer the unit to connect to my computer for updates & data saving or printing via USB.

I've only had experience with Scangauge and it was pretty cool but i didn't use it as much as i thought i would and ended up selling it.

I have a ScangaugeII and think its one of the best gadgets I've ever bought.

I picked up this one a little while back, seems to be pretty good, no complaints yet. Have used it on a few friends cars and the wifes Miata so far.

You can update the unit via usb on your computer, and you can 'retrieve' codes from it using the computer as well. It also shows 'real time' data as the engine is running. If a code is recorded it also displays a 'freeze frame' of the vehicles parameters when it happened. (Miata at 96% throttle when the rear o2 sensor failed, haha, no honey you were not driving too fast )

Scangauge II for me too and have used them for years.It's real time readings from the trucks ECU, right in front of you, are a no brainer in my book.Those into gas mileage readings,(not me...lol)there are so many more functions. ScanGaugeII - Trip Computers + Digital Gauges + Scan Tool

Perfect fit in front of the steering wheel with it tilted down the whole way and the orange backlight option is a near perfect match at night.

Almost forgot, if you have a Garmin Nuvi they have a pretty interesting download/program out that you can hook up to your OBD system...

I just looked at the ot-2 and think it would be great if I had a newer iPod.... That may be an option though.

Does the scan gauge record data that can be stored long term outside the device?

Doesn't meet your price point, but I've used AutoEnginuity for the last few years. Haven't tried it on the 4Runner yet, but it's worked without a hitch on my Ford and Honda vehicles.
