Extended brake lines with 3"-4" lift?

I'm still debating if I need to spend the $ on a SS lift. I only do mild off-roading, so I'm starting to lean towards a full OME lift. I do tow a two place A.T.V. trailer on occasion and a hitch hauler with my Suzuki DR650 on it. If I would go with OME which springs would you recommend 881/890 or 882/891? I don't mind a firm ride(I used to own a 2500 Ram=stiff susp.). I have stock front and rear bumpers and will be installing 285-75R16 ProComp Extreme AT tires. Do I need extended brake lines with this amount of lift? Any help is greatly appreciated!!! :shrug:

I have a 4" taco lift on mine and I didnt use the extended brake lines. I just bent the stock hard lines down a bit and there isnt any problem. I do have front braided steel lines for a 4" kit for a taco if anyone wants to purchase....

i got 882s and 891s and theres plenty of slack in the rear line ride is really not that horrible with stock bumpers

I have the 890s on the back of mine with 10mm trim packers. I am sure it would have enough slack for a daily driver. However, when I was articulating things with my jack, I did not like the way the brake line stretched. My opinion is that even though I am not a hardcore offroader, I would like the vehicle ready to do what it is capable of doing without problem. Especially when it comes to the brakes and the cost of the rear brake lines is cheap compared to a brake failure. Just my 2 cents.

Kinda reviving an old thread here.. My front brake lines are starting to show their age. Figured I might as well get some extended ones. Who supplies them? I know wheelers has some but trying to see other options. I kind of like the idea of braided stainless steel but haven't found any. Any tips?

Hey guys, i chatted with a couple of you on FB but i'm so lost when it comes to brake liens. So my front driver side started to leak right out where it screws into the caliper. Is there some sort of pressure connector that i need to replace or should i just get some of those fancy new braided brake lines?

I looked at the flaring process when doing your own and that does not to look very appealing to me but whatever advise would be great!

have someone pick one off a wrecked truck instead of reflairing the pipe.

While installing my lift my mechanic broke one of those hard lines on the caliper. It took him 10 minutes to make a new one with a small flaring tool. I'm pretty sure most of the shops could do it.

Replace those stupid hard lines with a soft line.

These are the lines I'm going with. I'm getting ready to do this mod in the next couple weeks. You'll need to get some banjo bolts from your local store, and they should be 10mm banjo's. You can always take your caliper and line with you, just to make sure you get exactly what you need.

While you're under there, get them cv boots done also! That boot is tore UP!!
