Hey to all still trying to get an opinion if the extra cash was worth it for the "Toyta Extended Care" warrenty. I am thinking about cancelling mine, believe I got played on the price..($1100 vs $825 agreed upon)...oh well live and learn. Any thoughts would be appreciated. CSM-H

PS. any one have to use their extended warrenty? or better yet if you weren't warrentied what was the most expensive problem fix?

Like all insurance, it is only useful if/when you need it. At my term, if I don't make a claim, I receive the full amount back less $50 for handling. Sounds like good prevention to me.

I got this same deal.

I never used the extended warranty on my '96, and didn't plan on getting it for my '04, but this seemed to be a pretty good deal. Sure, they're making 7 years worth of interest off my money, but if something goes wrong with the truck, I'm covered...

Refund on unused warrenty??

Sac State, do you have a Toyota Extra Care Warrenty? did you buy new or used? mine is on a Certified Used 4Runner, got the 6 yr/100,000 mi. is there something in the fine print I'm missing as to a reimbursement if I don't use it? thanks for the replys. CSM-H

I got the same thing for the same reason, but I thought of something. If you make a claim when still under the 3yr/36000 time period does it void the refund? Ill have to read the fine print when I get home i guess. I would think the refund is for new vehicles only, but i could be wrong.

Extended warrenty

Know its an older post but is this a toyota warranty for new? If so, what is it called? I want to get one and meet ammo for the stealership. That sounds great though. Wish Honda would do this refund - $50

No this is a used warrenty on a "certified used" 4Runnner, but the information is the same. you can buy on a new vehicle at time of purchase or up 3years and 35999 miles. Research this board and you will find some excellant offers for warrenties and prices that will beat almost all dealerships. good luck. CSM-H
