Exterior/Interior Lights Question

Hello all,

I just got a 2007 4runner Limited 4wd and I am thinking about changing out most of my exterior and interior lights. I guess my questions are as follows.

1) Would replacing my headlights with these Philips HID lights ( Xtreme HID 4300k Philips Xenon HID Conversion Kits ) be that much better than say putting in Silverstar Ultra's? ( http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProducts/AutomotiveLighting/LampReplacementGuide/AutoLRG-Results.htm ) The HID's are 4300k and the Silverstars are 4100k. So that is where the question comes from.

2) What type/manufacturer does toyota already use? Maybe I am just unaware that I already have Silverstar Ultra's in my car?

3) From the sylvania website link above it looks like they have light upgrades for all interior/exterior lights. How would those compare to say the Putco LED lights from Xenon Depot? Price and performance wise?

Thanks for all the help!!

kelvin is a unit of measure for light temp. (color) HID color chart | Xenon colour chart lumens is how much usable light produced, & yes, with HIDs, u will see much better & they will be way brighter than the silverstars & work well with ur projector headlights. toyota doesnt use SS, SO unless the previous owner installed, u dont have em. XENON DEPOT may still give a discount to forum members on the whole putco setup. one thing to consider is putting HIDs in a housing not made for them is illegal in some states & may not pass state vec. inspection & unless aimed properly, u may kinda blind some drivers & flashed

I have Silverstar Ultra's and I like them. I have been sold on HID however, and my Philips 4300 kit is on order from Xenondepot. I know that the performance and light output will be much greater. (Not to mention the lifespan). As for interior and exterior lights, go with LEDs. They are great and very cheap. Look into superbriteleds.com.

Thanks for the info.

Chaz--is my 4runner not set up for HID's since I have the projector housings? From reading on here I thought the blinding/aiming incorrectly issue was with 2005 and previous models because they didn't have the projector housings?
